Prospero was once the Duke of Milan. His brother, Antonio, together with the King of Naples, hatched a plot to overthrow him. Prospero and his three-year-old daughter Miranda were left to die in a boat at sea. Luckily they did not die, but found their way to a deserted island; and here they lived for many years, with a strange, ugly creature called Caliban as a servant, and a friendly spirit called Ariel.

Now Miranda is grown up, and Prospero has taught himself the art of magic. When a ship passes by the island, carrying Prospero’s evil brother Antonio, along with the King of Naples and his son, prince Ferdinand, Prospero uses his magic powers to summon up a great storm—a Tempest—and thus his revenge begins...
